Far View Ranch
Continuing a legacy of education and exploration for a new generation.
Since 1936, Far View Ranch has been a place where young people can learn about themselves in a safe environment where the natural world is part of everyday life. After a decade without camp, a decade of mourning and rejoicing in the memories the Far View Ranch Camp community cherishes, we are happy to announce that the camp property has been reacquired and will once again be home to education programs at Far View Ranch.
Helping us through this transition is the Center for Land-Based Learning, a non-profit focused on education, agriculture, and the environment. Working with CLBL, we envision a future where Far View Ranch is a leader in tying people back to the land, nature, and food systems. We are actively seeking donations to support our collaboration with CLBL. All donations will go directly to restoring facilities at Far View Ranch that can host a new generation of programs.
A 20-year partnership
Far View Ranch and the Center for Land-Based Learning have worked together for 20-years, bringing students from local schools to actively restore the habitat of Far View Ranch through their SLEWS Program.

Emergency Repairs
The last decade has not been kind to the camp facilities. Buildings that housed campers and activities are in various states of disrepair. Some need immediate attention (leaking roofs and pipes) while others are critical to begin hosting educational events (a functioning toilet). We are seeking donations to fund these projects to reopen Far View for a new generation.
FVRC Reunion
As part of rebuilding the hilltop, we plan to host a reunion for the FVRC community in the spring of 2025. Former campers and parents can come visit the property and share in a ceremonial reopening of the property.
